the FURminator

The FURminator is not a cheap dog grooming tool. In fact, we’ve talked about it for many months now after reading about it on Dooce.com… But a dog brush for $50 bucks?

Well Gary carefully wrapped up the receipt today as we walked out of the store. We thought we might need to use that 30-day guarantee, cause there-ain’t-know-way-in-hell-this-thing-has-ever-met-the-likes-of-the-husky-doberman-mix-we’ve-plucked-for-10-years Bromley.

BUT… !!!!!

You should have seen the sheer excitement and astonishment on each of our faces the minute the FURminator touched Bromley’s coat. This thing is SENT FROM GOD. Buy one now. Buy one for your mom. Buy one for your boss. SPEND THE MONEY.

overyonder - I agree! My mutt Shiloh is not a thick-coated dog, but her auntie Meeya (a lab/rottie mix) has benefited greatly from the FURminator.

Now what I want to know is does the “Pet-icure” work? http://peticure.com/ Shiloh is absolutely AWFUL about having anyone go near her nails and is sporting a serious set of “talons” because of it. But at ~$50 I want to know that it works before I shell out the cash!

brooke - We bought one about 6 months ago for our sweet sheltie and we are all the better for it! This thing is amazing, worth triple the price, and so effective. Cowboy Jack quite happily stands and lets me groom him with this, never complaining, and so I suspect it’s quite a nice feeling to be groomed with this tool. And the amount of fur it removes is amazing. Also amazing is the resulting silky softness of his coat. Just think of those huge puffs of fur which are not being distributed all over the corners of your home! Thumbs up.
