This past weekend was filled with sunshine and daffodils! Spring certainly seems to be springing, though we’re back to April Showers as I write this.
I went on a little adventure up to Portland, Maine this weekend – quite possibly my favorite New England town. I lounged around by myself during the day, provided my friend Emily with a little study break from her thesis project, and scooted off to the studio opening celebration of a fellow pet photographer – Meredith Perdue of & Unlimited – in the evening! It was wonderful to meet her and her fam & friends, and check out her gorgeous new studio. Would you believe we actually bumped into each other at Whole Foods earlier in the afternoon? Funny.
On the drive, I stopped in Hannover, MA to photograph a maybe-German Shepherd/Pittbull mix for the Star Bright Animal Rescue Network. He’s about nine months old, and has had very little discipline in the home, but he’s learning fast. He’s sooooo soft and cuddley – you can see his puppy smooth fur!
Meet Ricky:
Ricky ran more than a few hot-laps around and around in his foster-dad’s back yard. What a lucky guy!
His foster-brother Alex really REALLY wanted my sqeaky toy. It caused quite the barking uproar while we played outside, and this photo shows Ricky’s tolerance for the noise in his ear!
Every once in a while, Ricky would go drink from the goldfish pond. It cracked me up when he started to paw at the water.
Mmmm, yummy polka dot bokeh in this one – makes you want to adopt, doesn’t it?? ;-)
Here’s one last one of Ricky’s gracious older foster-brother, Alex.
