I was so excited to meet up with two beautiful friends in Boston this past weekend, for a little gabbing, laughing and photographing! Meredith, of & Unlimited Photography, came down from Portland, ME, and Alexandra of Alexandra Roberts Photography, scooted over from Cambridge. We met at the Fells Reservation in Medford, MA with our dogs and cameras in the beautiful afternoon sunlight.
Meredith and I share a focus on pet photography, and both Meredith and Alex shoot weddings. We all initially met via Twitter, though I have also now met up with Meredith a couple of times in Maine.
One of our thoughts for the day was to capture photos of OURSELVES, though I may have been the one most motivated about that because my bio photo above has been the same for over a year. It was also just fun to watch our dogs – Orvis, Emma, Brewer & Bromley – run laps together through the foliage and rivers.

The best part was just hanging out with fellow photographers. We DEFINITELY want to do that more often! After collecting our parking tickets at the Fells, we sat down at Starbucks and continued chatting about websites, gear, marketing, and even where to find adorable dog tags. It was our own personal little “workshop” in a world overflowing with photography workshops, but more importantly, I’m so happy to consider these lovely ladies my friends!
