Four-Leggeds

I am spending the weekend home alone, but technically there are four dogs currently slumbering at my feet!

I’ve been getting SO many things done, including planting the seeds for my upcoming asparagus, hot peppers, bell peppers, cherry tomatoes and early tomatoes! That leaves me now with about six weeks to get the veggie beds done in the yard while these grow in the warmth of our house.

I also sewed today, in an effort to repair one of our dog beds, and then set out to frame some images for display in a local animal hospital and pet store. Don’t tell anyone, but I also framed some gifts for friends! Shhhh…

But the best way to start the day was with a long dog walk on the beach! I had a cozy Friday night with a couple of my girlfriends – incredible snacking, wine and laughs! – and one of them joined me at Long Beach this morning with Hooper.

Hooper is a 2-year old lab mix with potentially some greyhound in him! He loved the chance to romp with new pals.

I hope you’re having some great walks with your own canine kids this weekend!

*Note: Thanks to friend Jess, I now keep calling dogs “four-leggeds”! Ha!

Claire - those are some of the best weekends–isn’t it amazing how being alone with your dogs doesn’t feel like being alone at all? they are good little companions, that’s for sure.
