Danes on the Beach

I’ve been wanting to share these images with you for a loooong time, but WOW there was a busy most-hectic season there for a few that I hadn’t expected! Who knew Halloween through December would be the biggest dog season of all?!

I’m happy to say that my CALENDARS are finally here! You can still purchase from the main page of this site, as well as from Hot Diggity in Mashpee and The Cape Cod Dog in Eastham if you’re local to Cape Cod. There are only about 50 left, and over $700 raised for the Animal Rescue League of Boston’s Brewster branch so far – very exciting!

But back to the story at hand… These two gorgeous ladies, Bella and Gypsy!

Bella was actually chosen for the month of August in a calendar to benefit a South Carolina rescue group. It’s kind of obvious that Gypsy needed to come along for the ride – can you imagine separating these two??

This is Bella:

Oh these ladies kept on going… so I’m afraid this photo-filled post is going to keep on going! Check out these grasses as the sun went down!

So stunning, and so mellow… these girls are under two years old and are so relaxed. I’m guessing it has to do with the wonderful amount of activity and exercise their humans provide them with. What a pleasure to have them gazing into my lens…

I hope that you’re enjoying this December holiday! We chopped down our tree in Vermont over the Thanksgiving week, and it’s actually helping to make the Christmas season draw out a bit more slowly this year. I’ve been doing some dog photos with Santa the past couple of weekends, with the proceeds also going to our local rescue groups! Nothin’ like Santa and a little “Sparkling Snow” Yankee Candle scent to keep the season merry!

Ho ho ho!

Judy - Stacey, all I can say is WOW! Danes are great subjects to begin with, but these beach shots are just fab. I have a friend with a Great Dane and we talk about doing a session at the beach, but this puppy is a runner, and we hate to risk it. But you have inspired me to figure a way to do the session on leash somehow…

Nadja - Oh my lord, these dogs (and pictures) are breathtakingly beautiful!

Maria - Isn’t it impressive how gracefull and elegant Great Danes are. One would think dogs that big would be a bit, oh, I don’t know, clumsy and awkward? But it’s never the case. These are beautiful Stacey. Love the lighting.

Els - They’re all absolutely gorgeous. Love the ones of Gypsy in the grass and Bella in front of the rocks! I secretly want a great Dane, but it will probably never happen…

Jay - I think these pictures of the Great Danes are spectacular. Your beach shots are always fantastic but these are simply magical.
